The Board of Trustees is happy to announce the appointment of John Williams to the Board, filling the vacancy left by a Board member resignation until next annual meeting. Here’s a bit about John:
John and his wife, Lora, and son, Isaac, moved to Andover from Boulder, Colorado in December 2014 for John to take a position as a Senior Scientist at The Weather Company (now part of IBM). After a few months of church shopping, they found North Parish and were attracted by Rev. Lee’s unflinching sermons on social, racial and climate justice, the friendly and supportive community, the music and children’s programming. John and Lora joined North Parish and the small group led by Aaron Pawelek in 2016. In pre-pandemic times, John regularly sang in the choir. He also enjoys gardening, reading, biking, and being in nature – particularly mountains.
