Community Action

At North Parish we believe in making room in our lives for generosity, good deeds and paying it forward.

Our Mission

The Community Action Team (CAT) seeks to inspire compassionate action to advance economic and social justice. We do this by encouraging volunteer involvement and support for projects sponsored by North Parish or partnering with other Merrimack Valley organizations providing support for project leaders.

This Annual Report captures activities from the past year.

Here are some of our current partners….

Amelia Reeve Social Action Award

This $1,000 Scholarship is given to a North Parish Youth each year in recognition of their community service. Initiated by North Parish member Cari Marchese, the award continues in memory of Amelia Reeve, a Haverhill resident who dedicated her volunteer service to projects such as feeding the hungry, assisting in hospitals, and coordinating programs about a variety of social action issues.

Contribute to our Monthly Outreach Collection

One Sunday a month we designate an outside organization for a special collection. Designees are suggested by the Minister, the Youth Groups, other North Parish groups or members. Make your donation as part of the Sunday offering (write “Special Collection” in the memo line of your check) or online through Realm.
