Open to the public. An evening of wine tasting and delicious munchies, display and sale of work from local artists, and an all-round good time! Proceeds and a percentage of wine sales go to benefit North Parish operations! Check our calendar for dates and details.

The North Parish book and movie club meets monthly to reflect on and discuss thought provoking material. Meetings are held via Zoom from September to June. Check the calendar for details and the Zoom link. Feel free to drop in. For more information, please email the Book Club.

Open to the public. Crossroads Music Series (formerly Crossroads Coffeehouse) is a community-based venue located at North Parish that brings a variety of incredible national and local live music acts to the Merrimack Valley. Crossroads is a smoke-, alcohol- and plastic-free environment with great acoustics and wonderful desserts, coffee, and teas. Crossroads is run entirely by North Parish volunteers, and opportunities to help with an upcoming show include set-up, take-down, working at dessert and product sales tables, and baking goodies for sale.

The Ferry Beach Camp and Conference Center on the shore in Saco, Maine, is a great site for gatherings of individuals and families. From April through October they offer engaging conferences, retreats, vacations, and youth camp, plus meeting and celebration spaces on a beautiful 32-acre oceanfront campus. Lodging options include cottages, dorm halls, and tenting with a dining hall onsite.

Open to the public. Our annual yard sale is our Green Sanctuary 7th principal in action! Recycling, re-using and re-purposing gently used items also raises funds for the North Parish annual budget. Typically held in the first weekend in May. Unsold remainders are donated to local organizations. There are many ways to participate – making order out of chaos as items arrive the week ahead, working as shopkeeper or cashier on the day, and offering bargains to shoppers. Join the fun!

All are welcome. The group meets occasionally for food and casual conversation or to help out at a church or community service project.

Merrimack Valley Diverse Revolutionary UU Multicultural Ministries

The Merrimack Valley DRUUMM group meets for family potluck dinners, conversation, and connection. We’re open to anyone who identifies as a Unitarian Universalist and a Person of Color, including teens and youth who want to be part of the conversation.

Open to the public. Our annual holiday fair is held the first Saturday in December. It is our largest fundraiser – and a great way to meet fellow parishioners while having a great time. You may even get to meet the Red Bow Fairy!

How can you shop? The fair is always the first Saturday in December from 9 AM-2 PM. Shopping opportunities fill the entire church! Advance raffle tickets for drawings (quilt, wine) or bids on Silent Auction items are also an option. Follow fair preparations on the Red Bow Fair page on Facebook, or look for details in the eNews or our News posts on the Home page.

Time commitments vary from two-hour shifts on the day of the fair to preparation in the days, weeks, or months ahead. Opportunities include:

• Co-Chair a Sub-Committee: Requires a few hours/weeks in October and November; resources and notes from previous years get you started!
• Pre-Fair: Donate items for gift baskets, solicit donations for the Silent Auction, put up posters, make jelly or baked goods, decorate wreaths, donate ingredients on the kitchen’s shopping list for lunch 
• Muscle Team: Help with set-up on the Thursday & Friday before Fair; help with take-down immediately after the Fair 
• Sales Staff: Work at the Fair for a two-hour stint selling baskets, crafts, greens, cookies, lunch and snacks 

These programs are intentional, lay-led groups that invite you to build community, deepen relationships, and provide opportunities for deeper spiritual exploration.
