Support Groups

Meeting at North Parish since 2009, McVAGLY has been providing a safe environment for those in the LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer) community to gather weekly to discuss issues that may not be adequately addressed elsewhere.

Connect through the Boston Alliance of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Youth.

The Merrimack Valley DRUUMM group meets for family potluck dinners, conversation, and connection. We’re open to anyone who identifies as a Unitarian Universalist and a Person of Color, including teens and youth who want to be part of the conversation.

On an as needed basis small support groups are created to respond to a specific request. These drop-in groups generally meet monthly before or after Sunday services. Some meet via Zoom.

Topic/focus examples might include…

Caring for Aging Parents
Climate Café – Sharing grief and hope about a climate changed world.
Grief Group
Trans Parent Support
Parents of Nursery/Pre-schoolers

Small group ministries are intentional, lay-led small groups that deepen and expand the ministry of a congregation. Small groups invite you to build community, deepen relationships, and provide opportunities for deeper spiritual exploration. Small group ministry is also called covenant group ministry, because the members in a group make an intentional commitment to one another.
