The Endowment Fund is a perpetual fund that is closely managed and will grow over time. As is the case with many non-profit organizations, this fund helps ensure the long-term financial future of North Parish. It can be drawn upon to address and survive financial emergencies and can fund capital needs or special projects that further our mission. It is not used for daily operational needs that are funded by our Annual Giving Stewardship pledge.

The fund has three components:

Unrestricted Reserve Fund, which may be used for any purpose to further the mission and work of the Parish, but not for ordinary operating expenses.
Building Reserve Fund, which may be used to help pay for major capital expenditures and significant improvements related to the building and grounds.
Social Outreach and Service Fund, which is reserved for supporting individual and collective service to the larger community beyond North Parish.

You can designate your gift to any or all of these components.

The Endowment Committee oversees, manages, and administers the assets of the Endowment Fund in accordance with an Endowment Investment and Distribution Policy.

This policy provides for the protection of the Endowment Fund over the long term through prudent investment in a socially responsible manner. Distribution of Endowment funds is limited to 4% of the assets per year and may be made only in accordance with specific funding requests approved by a majority of the members in attendance at a duly called Meeting of the Parish.
