Julia Ward Howe play

Actress Elaine Vaan Hogue will present her one-woman play about Julia Ward Howe: “Representation and How to Get It.” Howe (5/27/1819 – 10/17/1910) was a Unitarian and a prolific writer, poet, social reformer, activist for women’s suffrage, author of The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the 1870 pacifist “Mothers’ Day Proclamation” and much more. A discussion will follow the play. Co-sponsored with North Andover Historical Society.
