It’s Never too Late for Justice – The Exoneration of Elizabeth Johnson Jr.

The North Andover Historical Society Presents “It’s never too late for justice: the Exoneration of Elizabeth Johnson, Jr.” with North Andover Civics teacher Carrie LaPierre, author of “In the Shadow of Salem”, Richard Hite and Mary Louise Bingham of the Massachusetts Witch Hunt Justice Project. In 2021, North Andover Middle School students and their teacher fought to exonerate the last wrongly-convicted person, Elizabeth Johnson, Jr. from the 1692 Salem Witch Trials. Learn the background of the Witch trials and their aftermath from Richard Hite and Mary Louise Bingham. Meet the teacher, Carrie LaPierre and find out more about the legislative work her students took to clear Elizabeth Johnson, Jr.’s name. Tickets and information:
