The Merrimack Valley Alliance for Racial Equity (MV-ARE) is a cross-sectoral alliance of individual leaders who believe racism, coupled with lack of diverse racial representation in elected offices, serve as significant barriers to enacting policies that promote racial equity. The founding members came together in 2021 during the 2nd Cohort of LEADS Executive Leadership program.

The mission of MV-ARE is to promote racial equity and ensure that elected officials represent the diverse demographics, interests and needs of their communities in the Merrimack Valley by empowering individuals through civic engagement, education, preparation and advocacy.
