To Survive on This Shore – Photo exhibit of trans and gender non-conforming older adults

For over five years, photographer Jess T. Dugan and social worker Vanessa Fabbre traveled throughout the United States creating To Survive on This Shore: Photographs and Interviews with Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Older Adults. The featured individuals have a wide variety of life narratives spanning the last ninety years, offering an important historical record of transgender experience and activism in the United States.

Join North Parish’s Prideful Group for two events:

  • May 16th, 6–8pm for the opening & viewing of this photo exhibit which will be on display in Freeman Hall from May 16 – 27. Refreshments will be served.
  • May 19th, 7–8:30pm for a close look at the photos and a conversation facilitated by Rev. Renee Manning, community minister and transgender advocate.
