The North Parish Climate Justice Group Presents ‘The Smell of Money’

The North Parish Climate Justice Group presents “The Smell of Money” on Tuesday, February 25th at 7PM at the North Andover Historical Society

"A promotional poster for the documentary The Smell of Money. The image features a landscape with several large, white industrial buildings in a rural setting, possibly factory farms. In the foreground, there is a body of water reflecting the sky, which is a mix of blue, orange, and pink hues, suggesting a sunrise or sunset. The title, The Smell of Money, is prominently displayed in bold white capital letters across the center of the image. Below the title, a tagline reads, 'Who pays the price for what we want?'

A century after her grandfather claimed his freedom from slavery, Elsie Herring and her North Carolina community fight the world’s largest pork corporation for their freedom to enjoy clean air, fresh water and a life without the stench of manure.

“A powerful, unforgettable film, The Smell of Money lays bare the everyday consequences of a broken food system and the pain endured by our fellow Americans at the hands of an industry that puts profits over all else.” – Sen. Cory Booker
