The Board of Trustees invites the members of the congregation to consider adopting the 8th principle. To do so, we would vote affirmatively on the following statement (without edits or wordsmithing):
“We the members of North Parish of North Andover covenant to affirm and promote: journeying toward spiritual wholeness by working to build a diverse multicultural Beloved Community by our actions that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions.”
We would like to include adoption of the 8th principle at the 2023 Annual Meeting on May 21st, unless it becomes clear that the congregation needs more time for education, listening, conversation and discernment.
