Friends of the 1836 Meetinghouse was founded by a group of local residents to inform, share and support the ongoing preservation efforts of our historic building. Earlier this year the FOMH, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, submitted an application to the North Andover Community Preservation Committee (CPC) for a grant to help with much-needed repairs to the exterior of the Meetinghouse. After approval of the plans by the local Historic Commissions and review by Town Counsel, the CPC has recommended approval of the project, which will be voted on at the annual Town Meeting on May 14. For more information about the CPC grant and the scope of work, see the FOMH website. And if you are a North Andover resident, please plan to attend the Town Meeting and show your support!
