North Parish turned out a big group to celebrate the longtime contributions that Paul McCarthy and Jerusha Ryan have made to their communities at the annual Ministry in Community Action Honoree dinner hosted by the Merrimack Valley Project last Sunday November 17. Though Paul and Jerusha have moved to Hingham, the many ways in which they showed up for justice will stay with us for a long time.
Merrimack Valley Project raises up local heroes who live out Micah’s words: “And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly, and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” (Micah 6:8) at an annual MICAH Awards Celebration. Honorees from several local congregations and organizations were recognized in this community event at North Essex Community College in Haverhill.
