The North Parish Book Group has chosen the books and movies they will be discussing from September through June of the coming church year. As usual, it is an eclectic mix that includes a fictionalized account of Shakespeare’s son Hamnet, a biography of Isabella Stewart Gardner, and stories from residents of Gander, Newfoundland of what happened when 38 jets were forced to land at their airport on September 11, 2001. September’s book is The Daughters of Yalta, the story of how Franklin Roosevelt, Averill Harriman and Winston Churchill’s daughters accompanied and influenced their fathers as the three met in Yalta to map out the post-WWII future. Watch for an announcement of a new monthly meeting night. Use this link to view the full list of books & movies. Please email Suzanne Adams for more info on how to get involved.
