How Did We Get Here?

Gratitude to Nancy Lennhoff who was the guest presenter at a recent meeting of UU Mass Action’s Indigenous Legislative Subgroup. Nancy presented a case study of North Parish’s Hidden in Plain Sight history project (see panels in the Freeman Parlor or the PDF version on our website), which was instigated by a Rev. Lee Bluemel sermon, researched by Rev. Lee, Nancy, and Gail Forsyth-Vail, and executed by Chris Schena and Dave Kovner. To hear the story, feel free to check out Nancy’s presentation which begins at minute 18:50 in the zoom recording. The presentation was well received by the meeting attendees whose questions generated a good discussion.

A book cover titled 'Hidden in Plain Sight.' The background features a photograph of a white Gothic-style church with tall, pointed spires, arched windows, and a central clock above the entrance. The church is framed by green trees, and the sky is blue with scattered clouds. A magnifying glass graphic overlays the image, enlarging a portion of the church. The title is written in large, elegant serif font at the top, while the subtitle, 'The Unexamined History of a New England Town & Parish,' appears in a smaller serif font at the bottom. The cover has a muted grayish-brown background.
