Green Envelope Project

The North Andover Town Meeting voted to award the Friends of the 1836 Meeting House a Community Preservation Grant program of $480k for exterior restoration work on the Sanctuary. The FOMH is awaiting a formal contract with the Town.

We’d also like to thank the Moose Moss Charitable Fund for gifting over $300K and Phila Slade for donating nearly $19K from her art show to fund this restoration project as well as insulate the walls of the Sanctuary.

The North Parish Board has received a construction contract from Howell Custom Building to perform this work, and they plan to sign this contract once the grant contract is in place. If all goes well, the actual work will commence early in July with a completion date of November 1.

The historic building will be closed during active construction, but it will be available for services during the Fall. Some entrances may be closed during the construction period. The new building will continue to be used during construction.
