BEFORE – Beneath North Parish’s historic exterior, years of New England weather, moisture, aging wood, and even woodpecker damage had quietly taken a toll. Rotting wood was discovered around doors and windows, water damage was found beneath siding, and deteriorating spires and finials revealed just how vulnerable parts of the building had become. What appeared solid on the surface often concealed significant decay underneath. AFTER – Today, the Green Envelope Project is carefully restoring and protecting this beloved landmark for the future. Crews are replacing damaged materials, installing new insulation and weather barriers, repairing the steeple and siding, and recreating ornate architectural details using durable, weather-resistant materials designed to last for generations. The scaffolding surrounding the building represents more than construction — it represents preservation, care, and commitment to the future of North Parish. By combining historic preservation with modern protection, this project is ensuring that the beauty and character of this historic church continue to stand strong for years to come. Thank you for supporting the Green Envelope Project and helping preserve this historic home for future generations.
