On Saturday, November 19, First Parish UU Church in Chelmsford will hold their yearly Transgender Day of Remembrance Vigil. The vigil consists of 2 parts.
A procession on the Common will take place at 6:00pm. This part of the vigil is to bear public witness to solidarity with the transgender community.
An indoor vigil will begin in the chapel at approximately 6:30 pm and will end around 8:30pm. It will include music and the reading of the names of those known to have been lost to transphobia in the past year. The reading of names will be pre-recorded in order to include a collage of faces of the people we will be remembering.
The indoor part of the vigil will be hybrid in case you would rather attend remotely. The link will be available on our web page for TDOR at https://www.uuchelmsford.org/day-of-remembrance.html.
Folks are welcome to attend either or both parts of the vigil.
