What guides our work
Immigration Justice is guided by the UU principles of the inherent worth and dignity of every person; justice, equity, and compassion in human relations; and the goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all.
What we do
We work to strengthen our community impact by participating in local and statewide organizational actions by Merrimack Valley Project (MVP), ECCO (Essex County Community Organization), and UU Mass Action, and by regularly gathering to collaborate with and learn from other UU immigration justice groups in the Merrimack Valley.
Ongoing actions include:
- Advocating for Immigration Justice legislation at the state and federal level
- Supporting immigrants in our local community by holding a weekly stand-in for immigration justice in Lawrence
- Providing English Practice and friendship to two Haitian Families in Haverhill
