Climate Café: Resilience in the Face of Climate Change

On the following Sundays, January 7th, 14th, 28th and February 4th from 8:45am to 9:45am, North Parish Members are invited to participate in a “climate café” where attendees can share feelings regarding climate change in an open and informal setting.

The focus is on helping people process emotions brought up by climate change and to reduce a feeling of isolation as we face the ecological truths of climate disruption. Please feel free to bring a friend and/or family member.

“Researchers have found 59% of children and people ages 16 to 25 are “very or extremely worried” about the climate, and 84% were “at least moderately worried” about climate change.” -The Lancet. These 4 meetings are meant to help us listen to others, express ourselves and are not meant to be therapy.

The Climate Cafes are co-hosted by North Parish Climate Justice and facilitated by Connie Glore MA LMHC. Connie has completed climate café training at the the Climate Psychology Alliance of North America.

Please pre-register or drop-in by contacting Connie at cpglore@gmail.com. Please bring something from nature that is important to you.
