A Big thank you to the congregation for the generous book donation for the Refugees arriving at the International Institute of NE in Lowell. The books were either new or they looked new and we got a huge amount of books!
The staff was very enthusiastic about getting them. The books were donated along with cinch bags containing drawing paper, crayons, book markers designed by the children and a clean Beanie Baby. This donation was timely as they are preparing for a surge of 1000 Refugees this next month!
Thanks to Cindy Jones for spearheading this and Janet Foley’s help getting the books out of the car and into IINE (a place with no parking in front!).
