North Parish’s Faith Foundation for Youth happily announces that OWL: Our Whole Lives program for 8th and 9th graders will be starting in January.Co-developed by the Unitarian Universalist Association and the United Church of Christ, Our Whole Lives (OWL) is a comprehensive lifespan sexuality education program which provides honest and accurate information about sexuality while dismantling stereotypes and assumptions, building self-acceptance and esteem, fostering healthy relationships, and improving decision making. Please register here to attend a parent/caregiver orientation workshop to share and learn about this year’s program and to sign your youth up to participate. Classes will start the following week, Sunday, January 16th from 12:30 to 2:30.* Please note that the parent/caregiver orientation workshop is mandatory for youth participation in this program. We are also looking to offer in parallel to the youth classes, a small group ministry program called Parents as Sexuality Educators for parents and caregivers who seek support and skills to be effective sexuality educators of their children. This program meets for 12 sessions with dates and times TBD.
