SUMMARY:The 1619 Project - read and discuss with the Racial Justice Team!
DESCRIPTION:The goal of The 1619 Project is to reframe American history by considering what it would mean to regard 1619 as our nation’s birth year. Doing so requires us to place the consequences of slavery and the contributions of black Americans at the very center of the story we tell ourselves about who we are as a country. Join the Racial Justice Team in a series of monthly zoom meetings\, beginning in January\, to discuss this important work. Add the book The 1619 Project: A New Origin Story to your holiday gift wish list\, begin reading\, and stay tuned for meeting details in the new year. \nPlease click here for Zoom link.
